A Jest
A joke that made me roll on the floor laughing while playing The Witcher
A countess said to a count...
Countess: Shall I have dinner served?
Count: What a waste...
Countess: Perhaps we might go for a walk?
Count: What a waste...
Countess: May I ask a riddle, then?
Count: Very well...
Countess: What is warm, hairy and dives into hole?
Count: A cock.
Countess: Not at all, a mouse!
Count: A mouse in a cunt? What a waste."

The Witcher
This is the main culprit why I was away from the online gaming world and at the same time my savior when I had no internet during the weekends. I suck in making reviews so my apologies if things gets all jumbled up.

The Witcher, as far as the PC game is concerned, is a story about you, a witcher, and your choices. I think it's the closest thing to "role-playing" because you decide not just the story flow but the attitude your character wants to manifest.

This is Geralt also known as "White Wolf". He's a witcher. Witchers were once a human that undergo mutation called The Trial of the Grasses. The mutation leaves them heightened senses, stronger and faster than the average human being. But what's unique about Geralt, aside from his white hair, is he's not completely stripped off from his emotions. Thank gawd he's still ruthless.
The game is set-up in medieval times where knights, sorcerers, vampires, werewolves, and gods exist. Caught up in the middle of a fight between humans and nonhumans, Geralt struggles to be neutral but the need to choose is inevitable. It's more on exploration and talking than fighting. You'll spend most of your time running around for your quests.
Gameplay is ok. Stat distribution is different from the normal. I like the "mini games" like fist fighting, poker dice, beer drinking contest (sometimes you need to out drink NPCs to squeeze more information from them) and sex. Now, now, before you start putting on that devilish face, it's not like what you're thinking. The sex scenes per se are just cut scenes and shows a card with a visually stimulating image of the woman. Each woman has different images. Access to it will depend mainly on the situation and how you talk to them.

Another thing that I really liked about this game is how they made it quite realistic.
- When it rains, townspeople run for cover.
- They sleep when it's time to sleep.
- Female main characters wear nighties when they sleep.
- You see them walking on the street on a certain time going to where you can find them.
- There are certain quests that you can do only during night or day.
And the best part - the graphics. My screenshots will speak for themselves. Pardon to some images that are taken in low resolution.

I owe RF Online
As posted in RF Boards as my tribute to its 4th birthday
Hi guys!
Share ko lang
I was checking RF Online's Facebook's Fan Page when I noticed the "Founded Date" - September 7, 2005. As of yesterday, RF Online celebrates its 4th year anniversary. Close Beta started during that time.
I owe this game my friends. I'd see them everytime there's a bootcamp scheduled. Sa sobrang dalas ng bootcamp, sobrang dalas din namin magkita. Especially during the Cora, Bellato and Accretia EB. We'd pose as "pro-gamers" teaching new players how to play.
I owe this game my involvement in the community as one of the first Boards Archon representing Accretia. It was a nice feeling that I could be a voice for players who needed help. Answering questions at HQ (the reason why I got stuck to level 30 for quite a while XD) was one of my pasttimes.
I owe this game my first (and LAST) bug abuse. We raided the Core to check if there were any miners to kill hoping that HSK is bugged that it won't attack intruders. The moment I entered the Core, HSK kept on following me. I had a pet HSK back then
I owe this game my first PK (yes I haven't PKed anybody in my previous MMO). Kamalia Timandre of Cora.
I owe this game my changed perception of online games - that this is "not just" an online game. A game will never be a game without it's community. I've seen how players evolve, mature and grow; How everyone touched each other's life. One can never appreciate success without failures.
Now, I owe this game the never ending patience, understanding, and bringing out the things I knowingly can't do (good things of course ) No matter how things turn out badly, I realized that there will be people to cheer me up and say "thank you" even for the smallest thing despite the shortcomings.
I owe these all to RF Online and the people that surrounds it.
Happy birthday, RF Online!! :)
